It felt like Christmas morning again today as three of my recent online purchases arrived. Also the dress arrived yesterday it is more than perfect, I am going to have it shortened as it sits just below the knee which is not that flattering. I will find the Vogue editorial of it and put it on a post.

I am wearing two of my pieces that arrived this morning the ring which was a bargain £0.99 won on Ebay and my ASOS jumpsuit which I totally adore I am a big fan of jumpsuits and I do tend to find that they are an occurred taste but I have been wearing them for years and I love that they are easier to find now they have become more mainstream. I have teamed the outfit off with my H&M snood as I have not worn it for ages I also put a blouse under the jumpsuit and a pair of lace leggings as it would be a little chilly to be wearing it on its own. I love the blue rose print against the black it gives a twist to the girly roses.

Sale Time

My outfit is a little tame today I was back to work and had to be up 6am this morning as the store opened at 8am ready for the sale shoppers. I was so tired and could not really think about what to wear so I went safe with my leather look trousers and oh so comfortable Topshop boots. I watched Grey Gardens last night with Drew Barrymore playing Edie Beale who was Jackie Onassis's cousin it is such a cool film I really recommend it and the outfits are amazing. I watched the documentary about three years ago and Marc Jacobs actually used her as inspiration for his S/S08 collection and the Little Edie bag from Fall 2007 was named after her. I recommend watching the documentary first read about it here then the film makes more sense.

I am waiting for Christmas dinner watching Santa Claus The Movie with my nan and sister so I thought I would put a quick post on. Christmas Day has been perfect so far I am waiting for my brother to arrive with his wife and my two nephews. I want to introduce you to my sister Laura as she has a gorgeous festive outfit on. My outfit colour co-ordinates with my tree and colour scheme which is silver, black and white. I got some beautiful presents and vouchers of course for Topshop my sister is online now spending her River Island ones :). I got the ring that I am wearing today and a case for my camera a necklace and lots of other bits. The mask I am wearing is the one wrapped around my present. Hope everybody is enjoying there day xxxxxxxx

Christmas Eve Lunch

I am off to my Nana's for lunch I love Christmas Eve in some ways I prefer it to Christmas Day.

Today's outfit is inspired by Carrie Bradshaw's outfit in season 6 Episode 94 An American Girl in Paris. I watched it a couple of weeks ago and decided that I wanted a similar outfit for today. I used to work for an amazing designer called Ronit Zilkha unfortunately she went bust a few years ago I miss her designs very much as she was inspired by flea markets and vintage pieces I am fortunate enough to have an amazing collection of her clothes and everything I am wearing today is by her. I hope one day that she decides to design again and this post is dedicated to her creativity. I added the gold beads to the black top it took me about four hours.

No Snow for Me

Everyone in the UK got snow apart from the area that I live in :(. It is really strange as a town 10 miles away got snow but not one flake all we had was ice. My poor brother had his flight cancelled yesterday as they shut the airport he was put up in a hotel for the night and got a flight first thing this morning all this chaos and my little town carried on as normal. People even slept over in the bed department in a department store because they got snowed in. I am wearing my skirt as a dress today and I have layered a blouse under it. The boots are the same ones as yesterday but I removed the cuffs.

A Lace Affair

Today my outfit was inspired by the Louis Vuitton A/W09 collection. I brought the calf length lace leggings on Monday from Topshop and they straight away reminded my of Louis Vuitton. I put a pair of blue tights under them to pick the colour out in my skirt. I brought a set of false eyelashes from MAC yesterday I put them on today what a mess I think I will have to practice. Thay looked OK but not as good as the MAC girls :( as they say practice makes perfect. Just found this on you tube I will try this tomorrow and hopefully have more luck with my lashes x

Festive Fun

The last Saturday before Christmas is always a busy one in retail so I decided to wear a Santa's hat and a festive outfit. I brought the skirt and tights on Tuesday and I have to say I really liked this outfit. My friend Maria joined in and she also wore a Santa's hat. I love working in retail at this time of the year the hours are long but the festive feeling and the constant Christmas music means you are 100% aware of Christmas everyday and we also have a snow machine at work and every two hours it snows for a few minutes.

Out for Dinner

My brother has come over from Jersey with his girlfriend to visit and we are going out for dinner this evening. I am wearing a dress that I brought from Day Birger about two years ago I really love their clothes and they have gone in to sale today I have my eye on a grey leather dress which at the moment is not in :(
It is meant to snow tonight about 20cm this is so unusual for the UK and I am really excited so hopefully when I wake up tomorrow morning there should be a lovely blanket of snow.

Party Time

As promised this is what I wore last night. I am going to spend today watching Christmas films on the Hallmark channel to get in to the Christmas mood. I brought this dress five years ago it is by Sass & Bide I brought it for a works Christmas party the event was in a exclusive night club just off Bond Street so I needed something special I ordered it off Net-a-Porter and I loved how it arrived in a fab box and all nicely wrapped. It felt as special last night as it did five years ago and it has not really dated it is perfect for Christmas as it reminds me of an angel.

Mum's New Bag

My mum brought herself a new handbag yesterday and I fell in love with it when I saw it and decided to borrow it :). So today's outfit was based around my mums new handbag I thought the H&M thigh high boots would work perfectly with the bag which they did. I am off out tonight so this is a quick post. The French Connection sale started today I love there sequined dresses I was in there on Monday and loved everything I went back in today and some how it did not look so impressive. It is funny I never really have been a sale customer I like things when they look all pretty and merchandised not all blocked together and sad. We go into sale tomorrow so I will be busy busy busy now. I love this vintage fur cape over my biker jacket.
