I was off week last and apart from painting, partying and catching up with LFW live streams I also spent most afternoons watching La Ink and Miami Ink. Kat Von D is amazing not only does she have the most amazing talent as a tattoo artist her skills at tattooing portraits is unbelievable she also has a funky little style going on too she has the typical cali girl style but with a dark twist. It also got me thinking about my next tattoo and no I am not taking inspiration from Kats but I want the quote " A rose by any other name would smell as sweet" tattooed on the inside of my forearm.

Hey chickens we are having a little heatwave here in the UK it feels a little weird to be wearing summer clothes when it is nearly October but this jumper with my leather shorts seemed like the right compromise I got the jumper a while ago and have not worn it yet I also brought the matching leggings which you might remember from a few posts back. I cant help but feel a little cheated with the weather as nice as it is I want to layer up and start wearing some of my warmer clothes I suppose I have plenty of long cold months ahead so I should not moan.

I found this bag in my local shopping centre from one of those stall vendors and as much as I would love to be the proud owner of a Alexander Wang I sadly do not have a spare £800 at the mo (sad face) but when I do I will be investing in one even though this is a copy not a fake might I add as it has no reference to the great man himself it has made me want one even more darn it. I have dragged out my fur collar and have decided to wear it like a pet slung over my shoulder. Now my dears I am off to sell my grandmother on ebay for £800 so that I can head off to Selfridges and grab me one of these bags ;))) xoxo

I have had this clutch a while now and I have never used it during the day I dont know about you guys I love the way they look but I find them sooooo unpractical for a start I like having my hands free when I am out and about and it is a nightmare when you are on the phone it is OK to shove it under your arm but then you are walking around looking like a freaking robot give me a bag with straps any day.

Unlike yesterdays post my hair is looking more normal every time I looked at that post yesterday I was like babes what happened to the barnett thanks for all your comments saying it looked fine believe me I was glad to wash that out.

Leggings can sometimes be a bit boring dont you think and with my cut offs safely packed away (sad face) I need something to replace them I always turn to my faithful pleather pants but you guys are going to start getting bored if everything I wear is teamed with them so I am turning to printed leggings and what better for me than a pair of super cozy aztec printed ones I teamed them with the long line shirt for a twist but I have many different ideas of how I am going to wear these babies.

The reason this post is called big wig is because my hair looks like a big wig in this post I look like I have just rolled out of bed (I will blame the wind)  xoxo

Blackberry Collection Launch Party

When this invite to The Blackberry Collection Launch Party landed in my inbox I was more than excited I love Jessie J's music and even more a good night out and Sketch nightclub is somewhere I have been wanting to go for a while next thought was what the hell do I wear I originally brought the Python jumpsuit from Aqua but when it arrived it was too frigging big so a manic rush around work on Friday and I found this gold sequin dress from Warehouse's Spotlight collection check it out here

 

The night was amazing and it was fun mingling with celebs and I could not stop myself asking Mark from TOWIE for a picture the guy is soooooo cute (sorry guys it had to been done). Tinchy Stryder was there and Kimberley Wyatt, Paloma Faith to name a few but the highlight of the night was Jessie J's performance the chick is amazing and not too bad at stand up either she literally brought the house down. She was rocking a cosmic print jumpsuit check it out here by a really cool young British label called Tramp in Disguise accessorized with with foil gold nails, gold Chanel belt, purple suede shoes, a fabulous Mawi ring and that stunning purple bob oh and a customized leg cast.

I have now packed away some of my high summer wardrobe and dragged out my winter pieces this fur cape has been in my wardrobe for ages I found it on ebay I put a couple of stitches at the sides and turned it into a vest it is fab thrown over dresses for nights out it also looks good over my biker jacket. It is soooo big but that is what I totally love about it.

The lovely guys at Boo Hoo contacted my to go to there Press Day a while ago but sadly I could not make it. I have seen images from the day and they have some amazing pieces for AW11. I am really loving the shaggy hair trend so when I saw this vest here I knew I had to have it. They have got a beautiful collection for AW11 so be sure to check them out. 

I know I was not going to say much about the Litas as they really are old news but some of you guys have been asking me some questions about them so here goes. They are as comfy as everyone says as you guys know I work in a shop so I am on my feet nine hours a day and I have worn them a couple of times to work and they have been super comfy and they fit true to size so just order your normal shoe size xoxo

Carnaby Street in the 60's

I watched a documentary about Carnaby Street in the swinging 60's. I found it so interesting I had to share it with you guys. I go to Carnaby Street quite a bit my Head Office is based there so seeing it during the 60's really caught my attention as lovely as it is now it is pretty much like every other corporate street in the UK which is such a shame as the shop owners back in the 60's worked hard to give this street a personality.  

The stories from the guys that used to own and run the shops are amazing. The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and other famous bands would just pop in and buy clothes, how they partyed all night in the underground bars and clubs. The story that stood out for me was about Jimi Hendrix he had poped into Lord Kitcheners Valet one of the best stores for stocking military jackets he liked the jacket one of the Assistants was wearing and after much bartering Jimi walked away with the jacket after paying £250 which back then was about £5000 taking the jacket straight of the Assistants back what a story to tell your grand children and here is that famous jacket.

 

The Summer of Love started in 1967 and the clothing on Carnaby Street became more inspired by travels to India and Afghanistan and that was when the Hippie looked kicked in with kaftans and Afghan coats. Sadly a few years after this like with any fashion the hype died down and that was sadly the end of Carnaby Street and its famous roots boy I wished I had been around back then.

Pinky

With London fashion week in full swing it would be rude not to do some kind of post and after watching the PPQ show the thing that stuck out for me was the model with the pink hair as you guys know I am partial too coloured hair and Ferne Cotton has also been rocking pink hair it looks like coloured hair is sticking around for a while xoxo

I have fallen head over Lita heels in love with this jacket and I am so glad I got it. It is soooo cozy and goes with everything. You guys left comments about my hair on my last post I am loving the colour even though I have to redo it twice a week it is well worth the effort and the dye itself is conditioning so I end up with super shiny hair.

The jumpsuit arrived that I told you about in the last post but sadly it was too big darn it so back it goes only downside with shopping online.

While the weather is still mild I decided to wear this kimono I brought it at the start of the summer and did not really wear it as much as I thought I would looks rad teamed with the pleather pants my warmer replacement for Levis cut offs.

Silver Wear

I picked these leggings up in H&M the other day and from the front they just look like an everyday pair of black leggings but the back tells another story I instantly fell in love with the zipper detail. I am loving silver at the moment and I have just ordered myself some of those silver nail wraps I am totally useless at doing nails so I am not sure how it is going to turn out but I love the effect so fingers crossed. If not the silver nail polish I am wearing in this post will do.

I have a very talented friend she has just started her own label Ana Every  and I want to share her very first collection with you guys. I am totally loving her knitwear designs and think this is where her talent lies how amazing is the knitted cross jumper.

I have am amazing friend we met at work and have now been friends for nearly six years the best thing is he is so stylish and when he stuck a picture on my Facebook profile saying "Got these for ya" I was like oh my freaking god he knows my style so well and the fact that he lives in London and his local shopping haunt is Camden Market and places like Brick Lane means that he is always finding me some little gems. If you like these leggings I noticed Sabo Skirt has got them here

What I love about these is the mix of metals some people say you should not mix silver and gold I have always said F*** that I never listen to those dos and don'ts oh apart from the one that says " if you got your legs out no cleavage and if your got your cleavage out no legs" but to me that is pretty much common sense.

I just wanted to share it with you guys but I am sure you will get to see it in an outfit post very soon. Oh and I have manged to finally get my hands on a pair of JC Litas thanks to my mum they came back into stock on the Office website and I think my mum is fed up with my moaning so she paid for them I got the dispatch email today so they will be here soon beyond excited :))))

With the change of the seasons comes the change of my wardrobe. I sadly do not have endless amounts of cash to throw at a brand new wardrobe I like to add a few key pieces that I can then add to key pieces from previous years. These rusty coloured skinnies from H&M were a bargain £9.99 teamed with a classic blazer, sheer shirt and floppy hat and you have a 70's inspired look I could not help but add some oversized sunnies for effect. What key pieces are you going to buy this season????

Working 9 to 5

Hey dolls I mentioned in this post here that I have put a lilac dye through my hair to get a silver tone as my working uniform is pretty much black dresses and I wanted something to give me a more edgy look and decided hair colour was the way forward. This is one of my work looks the dress is actually a skirt it looks awesome as a skirt but at the mo I am enjoying wearing it as a dress and yes I do wear heels all day :)))
