When I was a little girl I used to love my jelly shoes I had a pink pair. My main memory was walking into the sea as the tide had gone out and losing one of my jelly shoes in the squishy sand I was so upset and whenever I see Melissa Plastic Dream shoes it always reminds me of that holiday. I love that she has teamed up again with Vivienne Westwood and of course come up with a couple of pairs of crazy ones that Viv could only dream of. With the festival season coming and the fact that it pretty much always rains here when the festivals start I thought these
Anglomaina boots from
Spartoo would make a perfect change from the welly. The
Lady Dragon shoe is also a stunning creation by Viv with a beautiful large globe attached to the front.
Now some might think that plastic is not the best fabric for a shoe especially in summer but they are actually made of melflex, a hypoallergenic, recyclable, flexible PVC they are also perfumed. Melissa has designed some great styles this season too. I love the
Kali with the super stylish black wedge and the cute little bow on the front. The
Treasure with its multi strap peep toe is also very cute and a fab colour.
Check out a great selection of Melissa shoes at
Spartoo

ReplyDeleteThe last one is so pretty! x
ReplyDeletePlastic shoes are definitely the way forward! They do a fantastic authentic jelly-sandal in Topshop at the moment, and reignite memories of my 8-year-old self losing them on a beach in Wales... tragic.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the comments missy, you have a lovely blog and even more fantastic style! (I can't get over your legs in the next post, jealous much?!)
